TN State Parks has some great National Trails Day Hikes coming up this afternoon! - 1 p.m. - *Rock Island State Park Beach Cleanup. Join park staff to remove some of the unnatural things that might find their way onto the trails. *Nathan Bedford Forest State Park. Learn about the history of this area on this ranger-led hike around the Eva Beach Day Use Area. *Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park. Enjoy a fun, three-mile hike along the Pioneer Springs Trail. *T.O. Fuller State Park. Join the park for a hike at T. O. Fuller’s Wildlife Enhancement Area. Hiking medallions will be given to the first 10 participants. *Red Clay State Historic Park Love Red Clay Day. Spend a rewarding afternoon helping park staff with clearing and cleaning up at the park. *Pinson Mounds State Archaeological Park Hudson Branch Trail and Beaver Pond Management Hike. Join the park for an afternoon hiking the newest and one of the most interesting trails in the park - the two-mile Hudson Branch Trail. - 2 p.m. - *Bledsoe Creek State Park. Join the park for a flora and fauna hike. - 4 p.m. - *South Cumberland State Park Suter Falls Hike. Join Ranger George on a difficult, but beautiful two-mile round-trip hike to view rugged Suter Falls. *David Crockett State Park Shoal Creek Trail Hike. Join park staff for a beautiful and historic hike down Shoal Creek Trail for National Trails Day.
