TNA’s Narok supporters threaten to quit over appointments KENYA: The National Alliance supporters from Narok North constituency have threatened to quit the party over what they termed as raw deal in government appointments. Tweet Led by Narok North MP Moitalel Ole Kenta the supporters said professionals from the area had been sidelined by the Jubilee government in the recent appointments. Kenta said the national government has instead opted to reward those who had not supported the Jubilee coalition during the elections. âWe are disappointed that we have been given a raw deal in the national appointments yet we supported the Jubilee government during the campaigns,â said Kenta adding that they are now surprised that those who had fought them are being rewarded. The legislator who was speaking during the districtâs education day said they will withdraw their support if they are not rewarded by the ruling coalition. Some of those who have been appointed to senior positions in the government from the County include Communication Principal Secretary Joseph Musuni and Dalton Konchella, Devolution Principal Secretary. In the formative stages of the Jubilee government there was hue and cry from members of the Maasai community who had claimed that they had not gotten their rightful share in the government appointments. However President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto appointed Joseph Lenku as Interior Cabinet Secretary and Musuni and Konchella as Principal Secretaries. Musuni and Konchella had contested for the Narok gubernatorial seat in the last election in KNC and KANU respectively but lost to URPâs Samwuel Tunai. Former Environment and Mineral Resources PS Lawrence Lenayapa was also appointed as State House Comptroller. But while speaking in Naikarra, Narok during the homecoming ceremony of Narok County Woman Representative Ms Soipan Tuiya on Saturday Lenku asked the Maasai to support the Jubilee government saying the community had benefitted from appointments.
