TO ALL ARTISTS: ART LOVERS COMPETITION 2015 We remind you of our 2015 art competition. ENTRIES CLOSING ON THURSDAY 19 MARCH 2015 We are searching for technical excellence in the creation of art – to satisfy the growing need from art lovers and collectors for works that reflect a balance of skills and concept. The judges will focus on the application of technical skills in the chosen medium, works that are aesthetically pleasing and of a high quality and standard. Although concept is important and works must be contemporary of nature, technical excellence in executing the work is critical. Prize money (R51,000 in total): • R17 500 – First prize as adjudicated by the judging panel • R10 000 – Second prize as adjudicated by the judging panel • R12 500 – First prize as adjudicated by the visitors to the gallery • R 5 000 – Prize to the work with the most merit, submitted by an under 25 year old • 3 x R2 000 merit prizes (All prize money is sponsored by Nico Smit and Werner Burger) Judging panel: • Diane Victor • Carl Jeppe • Loeritha Saayman Entry forms, with detailed conditions of entry and requirements, for this competition can be obtained from the gallery or on email request to artlovers1932@gmail or drop us a message on our Facebook page.
