TO: ALL MEDIA HOUSES, NEWSDESKS AND EDITORS PRESS STATEMENT BY FIDA KENYA ON ALLEGATION AGAINST MS. GLADYS SHOLLEI. The Federation of Women Lawyers Kenya (FIDA Kenya) has learnt of the decision made by the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) regarding the conduct of the Chief Registrar of the Judiciary, Ms. Gladys Shollei. FIDA-Kenya would like to urge the Judicial Service Commission in dispensing its mandate to uphold the spirit of Article 47 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 which guarantees Ms Gladys Shollei fair administrative action that is expeditious, efficient, lawful and reasonable. In so doing, the JSC ought to be guided only by the law and should avoid any extraneous factors that may influence this extremely sensitive process. Further the Media in upholding responsible reporting should by all means avoid a trial by media scenario and allow the course of due procedure to prevail during this investigative period.
