TO ALL MY FACEBOOK FRIENDS:: Ive always embraced the fact that I consider myself a good old Northern Redneck, and since the early days of Jeff Foxworthys, You might be a Redneck if..., its definitely been a badge of honor. No one has contacted me to scream racist at me and no one has complained to me about using or labeling myself, (and my friends), as such...however...it was lovingly brought to my recent attention that it had a derogatory connotation in some areas and has been known to be offensive. That said, let me assure each and every one of you...no matter your color, gender, or ethnicity...I did some research and thankfully many now see the term as a Badge of Honor signifying independence & freedom, and THAT is how I mean it. Now I do NOT know this group, (Save the Redneck), and am not promoting anything other than what I found on this internet search; I just thought this explained what I feel...so please dont be offended when I use the term REDNECK because I mean it with the utmost respect to all.
