TO ALL SANDRA WICKHAM COMPETITORS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Before I see all of you rocking the SWFC stage tomorrow, first of all I want to congratulate everyone of you on your dedication and patience you maintained towards your goals. Although the road to perfection seems never ending, where you are right now, in terms of health and Physique, is the best youve ever been. You have created a You, who not only experiences self-contentment, but also inspires many others directly and indirectly. So kudos to everyone of you and also thanks to all the people involved making this happen. Second all; Im sure your coach has already walked you through all the ins and outs of your stage presence and performance. There are few tips that I like to share with you based on my previous observation of competitions. For those of you who dont know me, no I have never competed on that level in my life. I am one of the fitness photographers in Vancouver. An event photographer’s eyes is pierced to the stage the whole time like the judges. Having said that, Here are my 2 cents tips that might come handy to you. - Comparing yourself to the other competitors will not work in your advantage. Be proud of your accomplishment and share your pride with the judges and the audience. Your placing is just a circumstance of the nature of the show. It’s objective and you can’t control that so be the star that you are and shine your bright light. You have no idea how inspiring you are in some eyes in the audience. - Know that from the moment you stepping on that stage to the moment you literary are out, there are eyes watching you, so maintain your solid presence throughout your entrance, posing, greeting, stepping aside, and exiting the stage. Remember all your many months preparation is squeezed into not more that 10 minutes so bring out the best of you. - Last, it’s about stage photos. Since the use of flash is prohibited in the theatre, and the stage lights are coming from above, I suggest to have your chin held just a touch up as if you are facing the mid section of the audience while you’re maintaining your pose and looking at the judges. That reduces the darkness around your eye and makes your eyes more visible. I do have more to tell you but I know you all need time to rest so less reading would save you time. Note: I will be videotaping the night competition, which I will later post each category separately on my page for everyone to see as souvenirs ,or as a point of reference. And by the way, I dont sell stage photos! Goog luck everyone. You are awesome!!!!
