TO ALL STUDENT ACTIVIST AND LEADERS!!!! (Particulatly,PYA cadres) Student leaders must LEARN, LEAD AND GO(Graduate.) Never overstay your welcome in student politics. You preach academic excellence each day, yet you are a permanent student, kante o apara neng sanamarela? My observation is that in various institution of higher learning , where PYA is in shambles, there are some anti-elements, either 1 or a group of students who has been there for as long as one can remember, who or they believe that without them there can never be an organization. In otherwords the organization is now him or them this element tend to frustrate student. It is a misfortune that ultimately leads to the detriment of the ANC. Many at times student are left with but no choice but to seek for an alternative. I can conclude by saying one of the primary factors that leads to the bleeding of PYA in institutions, is older comrades, those ones who have more than 6 even 10years in an institution without having a single degree to their names. They are stumbling,blocks because no decision can be taken without being run through him or them, this does undermines the student. The North West University is not the only university that suffers from this syndrome, but many more universities across South Africa. Today many societies are formed in the presence of PYA, in many institutions of higher learning, they continue to contest SRC election nd win it. Student have started rejecting PYA in respective institution, by joining those societies, now is PYA still relevant, is it fulfing its objective im,Institutions of Higher Learning? If not what should be done???
