TO ALLAH WE BELONG AND TO HIM WE SHALL RETURN إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون This afternoon after Jumuah in our local area, a young girl probably aged no more than 5/6 years old was hit by a bus. By the time we got there the whole area was in chaos and we just saw the mother sitting on the floor crying holding what was to be the remains of the little girl. I saw part of her legs and they were destroyed. I looked under the bus and could see remains of her brains near the bus tyres. It was very sad and difficult to see such a scene. The mother was sitting on the floor by the roadside holding her daughter tight and not letting go, even when people tried to calm her down...all that could be heard was frantic screaming, people couldnt believe what had just happened...even we were in total shock.. Eventually tens of police cars, ambulances and fire engines came but at the same time the extended family of the girl started arriving, all of them shouting and screaming in complete shock! Never have I seen such a severe accident in my life. It was incredibly hard to believe what had just happened, but I thought that we have been seeing similar photos and videos of young children just like this young girl, blown to pieces in places like Palestine, Syria and elsewhere. Although we see it all the time online and on the news, only when you witness something similar in real life, you can begin to understand a small fraction of what our mothers and children around the world are going through on a daily basis. May Allāh grant this young girl the highest levels of Jannah and reunite her with her mother and all her family and grant them Sabr at this incredibly difficult time... May Allāh ease the suffering of the mothers of this Ummah in every corner of the earth and have mercy on them and return us back to a situation of honour and happiness once again.
