TO BE A STEP DAD To be a Step Dad isn’t easy, but the good always outweighs the bad; You couldn’t hold them as a baby, but at least you can hold them today, if they are sad. You missed their first steps, you wasn’t there to carry your baby out of the hospital, the first time they felt the sun;You were not there to see the candles blown out, for birthday number one. You don’t know what their first word was, or the first food that they tasted;Somehow you wish there was a way to turn back time, so we could try and witness all the years, we have missed and wasted. They might not be your biological children, but human nature and love, still makes you look at them as your own Daughter or Son; You missed out the first time there eyes lit up, for their very first Christmas fun. But instead of looking back, I look to the future and thank my destiny, for the best pre-made family a man has ever had; I try to remember that anyone can be a Father, but it takes real man to be a Step Dad.
