TO BE DESTROYED - 08/03/13 - Brooklyn Ctr .·´¯`·-❥ ★★★ TRIX (A0973574) ★ At 11 months old, Trix is acting like a big goofy pup who is scared and nervous about being brought to a cage at Brooklyn ACC. Found wandering a Brooklyn street, Trix’ people never came for him and now he’s on his own. He was in decent health so someone took decent care of him at some point. The ‘tests’ on his behavioral eval brought out all the puppy in Trix. Playing tag, its obvious nobody really taught Trix how to play though he clearly loves it! He didn’t know what to make of a strange person squeezing his paw a few times. But when that new dog came in the room, Trix really thought it was playtime and rushed over to say hi. ACC doesn’t consider Trix’ age and his enthusiasm—to them he’s just another puppy who can go on tomorrow’s euthanasia list. So tonight Trix really needs someone who understands ‘puppyhood’ and understands that pups aren’t born knowing how to walk on a leash, aren’t born knowing when to grab and when not to grab—they need to be taught all of that. He needs someone who sees that will a little “basic” training, Trix will be a wonderful addition to their home. If you’re that someone, start applying to as many New Hope rescues as you can to foster or adopt Trix. This young guy will bring so much joy to your home!
