Beauty’s owner had her for 10 months, got her spayed and otherwise seemed to have taken decent care of. But then they moved someplace Beauty couldn’t go and here she sits in a crate at Manhattan ACC. If you want to know what Beauty’s personality is, take a look at her behavioral eval: “Beauty has displayed no concerning behaviors while at the care center or while in her previous home”. Look at her Safer scores—she aced it. Now she is exuberant and playful and likes to jump and thinks everything is playtime—did we say she was a 10 month old puppy. Medically, Beauty has one big problem. Whatever happened with her spay surgery, she has a prolapsed vagina and needs some good vet attention to fix that—and she needs that fast. ACC can’t or won’t take care of that so their answer is to put this puppy on tomorrow’s euthanasia list. Tonight, Beauty needs that person who is ready to show a gorgeous, friendly puppy how to grow up into a great family dog. She needs someone who will take her to a good vet. She needs someone who has energy and patience that all puppy owners need. If that’s you, start working on fostering or adopting Beauty.
