TO BE DESTROYED 9/4/13 Hit by a car on a Brooklyn street, Big-Boi has been sitting in a cage for days at Manhattan ACC and waiting for someone to come and take him out to make him feel better. The ACC vets think he’s got a broken pelvis and have been giving him pain meds. While they think all he’ll need is cage rest and pain meds, Big-Boi needs to be seen by a good vet asap in order to really determine the best course of treatment. And during it all-how has this gorgeous boy behaved-Wonderfully! The staff at ACC use words like “quiet, calm, affectionate “, “Very friendly (Very sweet and affectionate)” in describing Big-Boi’s overall demeanor and personality! And you can see for yourself what a sweetheart he is from the volunteer pictures. But ACC’s only plan for Big-Boi is to euthanize him and they’ve got him on tomorrow’s list. Tonight Big-Boi needs guardian angels who will see to it that he gets the kind of care he so deserves. He needs someone who will work with a rescue to foster or adopt him—even if he goes to a vet hospital, he will need a home in which to recuperate. And he needs pledges of financial support to help a rescue pay for his vet care. And in return, someone will get a velcro dog who will understand and appreciate all that was done for him. But step up now—tomorrow, Big-Boi will be gone forever.
