TO BE IN THE PRESENCE OF JESUS.... AND NOT EVEN KNOW IT.... YIKES!!! Its amazing that the Emmaus disciples couldnt recognize Jesus standing right next to them UNTIL He Himself explained the true meaning of Old Testament Scriptures, and how they ALL spoke of Him, some literally but most allegorically. Here is the point. Reading Scripture in our own natural understanding, WITHOUT the Spirit of Christ translating their tone and subtext to our minds and hearts, can leave us with a Jesus we dont know or recognize. Many know Scriptures by their OWN interpretation but cant see Jesus standing right in front of them. They simply dont know Him. And these disciples had actually walked with Him, ministered with Him, beheld His miracles up close and personal, YET they couldnt recognize Him until he pointed Himself out to them in the Scriptures. And beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, He (Christ) INTERPRETED to them in ALL THE SCRIPTURES the things concerning himself....And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. And they said one to another, Was not our heart burning within us, while he spake to us in the way, while he opened to us the scriptures? Luke 24:26-27, 31-32. LET JESUS FINGERS DO THE WALKING AS YOU NAVIGATE SCRIPTURE. LET HIM POINT HIMSELF OUT TO YOUR MIND AND HEART--- YOU WILL START TO RECOGNIZE HIM AT ALL TIMES--- AND YOUR HEART WILL BURN WITHIN!
