TO FOLLOW JESUS, SELF DENIAL IS CRITICAL! FORSAKING WORLDLY LUSTS, WALK IN THE HOLY SPIRIT (YOUR MASTER)! WHAT YOU SOW, YOU SHALL REAP! LISTEN TO GODS VOICE!!! Then Jesus said to his disciples, If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it. What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew 16:24-26 NIV This is for the proponents of Gods so-called unconditional love! Why is there a need for Jesus to say this to us if His Love to us is absolutely unconditional? Saved by Grace and all? Where then does the self denial fit in or come to play? At what stage of the unconditional love do we have to do anything at all to have or continue to receive the Love of Jesus Christ who is God?! I shudder to think what would happen if God dealt with mankind according to our devious, fleshly and emotional way!? Hmmmm! Please Help us o Lord to discern Your Word, correctly teach and apply the Word in our lives in Jesus Name. Amen!!! For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. Titus 2:11-13 KJV We are clearly required to deny ourselves and live holy, godly lives; forsaking fleshly lusts and worldliness! At the same time, we must not lose focus of our Blessed hope; the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Great God, our Saviour! Yet, some argue that Jesus Christ is not God! Is this Scripture not clear for example?!! Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. Galatians 5:24,25 NASB When you say you belong to Christ, it cannot be simply by your words alone; it must be through your action! Faith living is not words-led; its action-driven! If for Christ, then live by Christs Standards and Word! God, Father, please Help us to live for You in Jesus Name. Give us Your Holy Spirit to Help us in Jesus Name. Amen!!! Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness? But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness. Romans 6:16-18 ESV We are slaves to whosoever or whatsoever we obey or has mastered us! What or who is your master? More critically, who or what do you want to be your master? Jesus! I want you! I want and need you to be my Master! It is You, Lord Jesus, that I want to obey! Keep me away from evil and sin; Help me to commit fully to Your Word and Standard in Jesus Name. Amen!!! Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. Galatians 6:7-10 KJV You have the choice to keep deceiving yourself or to shape up and obey and trust in God and live for Him! If you live for evil and sin, you are sowing evil fleshly seeds and you will reap accordingly! Likewise, if you live holy and godly, you are sowing seeds of good by the Holy Spirit and will reap accordingly too! Do not be tired of sowing good seeds; for ultimately you shall reap accordingly! In doing good, prioritise the faithful, the believer! May God Grant us wisdom to discern good from evil and to focus on good in Jesus Name. Amen!!! Keep me from strife, evil, etc.! I have no power of my own; Holy Spirit, I look up to You, I know, I have no power of my own! Help me o Lord; I need Your Help every breath I take.
