TO GET CLEAN TOWEL AND APRON, YELL! I did; with some drama at the barber shop Just got home from the barber shop; the barber shop I have patronized every weekend for over a year now. Three barber chairs, three South Asian barbers spewing garlic and onion every time they open their mouths. The one closest to the door is a bloated bloke with hunched shoulders and extremely bony arms dangling like a soldiers on parade. The same creature shuttles from his station to a hip-tall trash can right across to spit out some red spittle every seven or so minutes. The one in the middle is a dusky young chap who must raise his heels to reach the customers crown. Naturally amiable, but furtive. Cant really trust him. The most inner and the third barber is my barber. Tall and robust, has a scar on his face like Zorros. He dabbles as the manager, as well. But tonight, he was gone out of Bahrain for a two-month vacation. So now, I had the barber right by the door. Romeo: The apron stinks. I need a clean one. Barber: It is clean. (as he wrapped it around me) Romeo: Change it!!! (as I grabbed the filthy, stinky nylon apron from my neck, and threw it at him) Now, I got a newly washed (by the smell) apron. After my haircut, upper body massage followed. He took the towel that came from a customer who had his shave, and before he could wrap it around me ... Romeo: You (yelling his nationality) are really filthy! I am your customer, and I deserve clean air from your mouth, and clean towel!!!! You want to change the towel or not? Silence, not even a hush, settled about. The customers waiting on the couch looked at me with contempt, as they were willing to exchange among each other aprons and towels unwashed for ages. He went inside a cubicle, and brought out a clean towel (smelled detergent). My barber knows my requirements, but he is away. Next weekend, I have to go somewhere to find another barber shop.
