TO: GRAND VALLEY FROM: DR. WILLIAM R. NYE JR. Nate Schick and the multimedia students here at Grand Valley put together a great video (link below) focusing on the importance of technology in the classroom. It includes interviews with students discussing how they use technology every day. They talk about the great improvements made here to include things like chromebooks and smart boards in the classrooms, but it also talks about the constant need to improve and update technology throughout the district to allow students to stay current. It is especially timely as the voters in this district have a choice to make on November 4th regarding Issue #10, a new 1 mil Educational Technology levy. Proceeds from this levy would only be used for Educational Technology throughout the district. Also on the ballot is Issue #10, the existing Permanent Improvement levy which is up for renewal.
