TO HATE SPEECH WRITERS : WE ARE WATCHING YOU Recently,we have been treated to the spectre of teens who can barely construct proper English sentences putting up war poems.Going by their choice of words and tendency towards eliciting ethnic animosity,these cyber criminals are insensitive to the plight of inter-ethnic clash victims.Some are high school boys, who,instead of fanning the flames of Bunsen burner in their chemistry lessons are fanning inter-ethnic flames.Too often,we have been shouldering the blames on the administrators of this page for letting some members post sabre-rattling statements,seldom do we forget that the administrators too have other personal commitments.The remedies to curbing online inflammatory and negative ethno-political post must be shared by us all.I urge members not to comment or challenge any post that is laced with ethnic bigotry.This is to prevent giving the goons the publicity they are craving for.Treat them with the contempt they deserve.Secondly,the Mohamed Sheikh led executive committee on integration and cohesion must put up mechanism of monitoring such post with a view of nailing and prosecuting the owners.There is no moral difference between the person who killed and the one calling for killings.No difference between the one participating in battles and the one calling for battles of ethnic wars.Criminals can carry guns..pens and phones.We must not allow disintegration at the time when even fighting jihad are prohibited.We will gain much more in brotherhood and will lose much more in enmity and hatred.The Rhamu incidence in which once beautifully constructed neighbourhoods were turned into ramshackles must touch our conscious.To the beautiful people of Mandera,I urge you not to engage in self destructive actions.I finish my statement with prayers that Allah (sw) show direct us to that which can bring in us the feelings of brotherhood in faith and divert us from the path or satan and his likes..Ameen
