TO MY BELIZEAN FRIENDS AND FANS TO MY GARIFUNA BROTHERS AND SISTERS WHEN AN ERA ENDS, ANOTHER BEGINS. WHEN A DOOR CLOSES, ANOTHER OPENS I heard a lot of discussions this morning in the media and on the radio talkshows particularly suggesting that I am mad about something. Others feel disappointed that although they did not act as fast as they should have, I should have continued to wait. I also heard others suggesting that I have turned my back on creativity. It is neither about being mad, about being impatient, nor about turning my back on creativity. It is not about giving up. Its simply as stated: The era of my self-initiating projects I am convinced will be useful to the community,and has proven useful to the community has come to an end. Of cause they say, every good thing, or otherwise must come to an end. And so has this. Seeing the discomfort, and inconvenience such initiative causes individuals and communities, I had to respect the culture and cease. However, I am open to still work with individuals and communities. For instance, if the Garifuna community sees the need to build a memorial to the honor and memory of TV Ramos, or others, I will be pleased to work with them. I will be pleased to sit down and negotiate a commission like gentlemen and professionals. Just saying this to quell the impression that am outrageously discontented that I may not want to deal with anyone. Aint we too big for that?
