No matter the credibility of the process, I doubt if any of the two major combatants would willingly concede. One can only wish and pray for a peaceful process but with their desperations and an officer of the state, Minister of Police Affairs, whos saddled with ensuring peace becoming partisanly interested, that may be delusional. Well, we can only hope for the best. I just want to appeal to my compatriots at Ile-Ife not allow our domain to become a battle ground. Yes, a contestant, Otunba Iyiola Omisore is our son but let every voter follows his or her conscience on who to vote for. Lets eschew violence because we have lost too many in the past. Personally, I am not persuaded by any omo ria ni (our son) mindset but those who are given to that should be allowed to follow their conscience. In the past two weeks I had intense discussions with three of my brothers from the Source for whom I have tremendous respect. One, a former governorship aspirant himself, called me at around 1am my time and our conversation went on for almost two hours. The other, I called and we also spoke for another two hours or so. And the last from here in the States called me and we also spoke at length too. There was no consensus ad idem between us except with the last brother from Chicago but I understand and respect their opinions. May the best candidate win!
