TOBY UPDATE ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON - Ive been trying to add a video of our visit today but for some reason its not downloading. Once I figure out what Im doing wrong, Ill attach it. In any event, Toby was so happy to see us, Stanley could barely contain himself. He looked just like his old self, except that he was still yellow but the vet said that the liver recovers very slowly. His enzymes when I called have come down considerably from 1500 to 827 but his billirubin has not come down which worries the doc. he said that his off the record diagnosis is gall bladder stones and a blocked bile duct. Hes afraid that the gall bladder could rupture which will initiate emergency surgery or death. He said once the ultra sound is done and the prognosis is gall stones, he will go into surgery to have them removed and his duct cleaned out. This surgery is going to cost close to $2K; this doesnt include the already rising bill for the past few days. I refuse to put Toby down but I dont want him to suffer either. Im at wits end. We need help!!!! Heres a couple of pictures I took at the hospital this afternoon.
