TODAY, APRIL 27, IS THE LAST IN OUR SPECIAL SUNDAY SERIES OUR OUT OF BALANCE WORLD THE TOPIC TODAY: IS THE EVIRONMENT, AND WEALTH DISTRIBUTION INEQUALITY PLEASE JOIN US IF YOU CAN! To honor poetry during National Poetry Month The Venue added Sunday Specials to our usual programming. On every Sunday except Easter, we have invited poets and musicians to come and express their social concerns and share their visions for social change through their art. We have had featured artists plus an open mic. We invited social activists and concerned individuals to also attend. The general theme of the Sunday Specials has been Our Out of Balance World . Acknowledging that the world we know has fallen perilously out of balance, Venue co-owner Patti Wray and artist-in-residence D.D. Delaney outlined specific topics of concern for each of the three April Sundays - heres what weve had so far: April 6 - Gender issues, whatever they may be April 13 - Power, in any of its forms FEATURED ARTISTS FOR APRIL 27 - THE ENVIRONMENT, AND WEALTH DISTRIBUTION INEQUALITY: Bob Young, Malcolm Powell, Gayla Robinson, Brenda Bailey, Tonie Sheeley and Rob Giano Doors open at 2 pm - the program will begin shortly after. Voluntary Donations - at the door to help support our programming and facility management is appreciated.
