TODAY: Going to a carbon farming seminar in Albuquerque New Mexico. Gonna learn 1) ranching in natures image, 2) have a conversation about carbon, climate and cattle, 3) talk about family farmers and the future of food, 4) how co-ops grow community wealth, 5) soil + silicon: open source tools for regenerative agriculture, 6) Fred Kirschenmann (now theres a name Iowans will remember) will talk about old practices made new again, 7) I will learn about integrating the carbon and nitrogen cycles, 8) soil is life, tillage is death, 9) the economics of it all, and 10) Banquet Awards Dinner. .... beats the hell out of budget meetings, now doesnt it? .....
