TODAY IN AFRICA: It has been a pretty full 24 hours. It began with a visit to a local ministry, Masana, that serves the street kids of Maputo. After meeting with their directors we have set up a tournament with our Ambassadors players and theirs. Later in the day I met our Ambassadors teams headed up by Simao, who does a great job with a large group of young people. Then this morning we met with the Ministry of Education. As he shared his objectives for their programs in the schools it was apparent that our meeting was perfectly and divinely timed. They have asked us to develop a program that can begin in Maputo but then be put in place in the provinces, including training their phys ed teachers. The doors keep opening here in Mozambique. Yes, it was a pretty amazing 24 hours here in Africa.
