TODAY IN THE PAST: MAY 17, 1992 QUEENS, NY: With The Fat Boys finally disbanded, Darren Buffy Robinson attempts a career comeback by writing a screenplay to star himself and Ralph Bellamy, his former Disorderlies costar. Titled My Dinner with Ralph Bellamy, the script follows a wide-ranging conversation between the famous elderly actor and the young human beat box over a long, leisurely dinner. When read now, it is a surprising and affecting reflection on fame, destiny, and Robinsons own fear that the weight that had made him famous would eventually kill him. However, Robinson did not know at the time that Ralph Bellamy had passed away just a few months earlier. When he learned the news, he became despondent, and died soon after of a broken and massively enlarged heart. —Judge John Hodgmans More Information Than You Require (2008) \|/ Reposted by: -H- Team /|\ Hodgmania
