TODAY IN THE PAST: MAY 29, 1970 NEW HAVEN: Inspired by the work of Schrodinger, the controversial Yale Feline Studies Lab creates a Cat Prison. In the simulation, ten cats were assigned to be prisoners and ten cats were assigned to be guards. The guard cats were each given little stuffed truncheons. The prisoner cats were forced to wear little burglar masks, but otherwise were allowed no other clothing.
