TODAY, WE ARE INTRODUCING... Shashi Dahal -- Where are you from? I am from Nepal. I moved to and stayed in Singapore for more than 4 years before coming to the Netherlands. -- What is your most favorite thing about Holland? The first thing that I like is that almost everyone speaks English and people are down to earth, and mind their own business. I like the range of options on food, fruits and vegetables that I can buy at the Hague open market. -- What do you do and what is your role at Spil Games? I work as an IT Infrastructure Engineer. In a nutshell: we research, develop and implement new technologies and procedures for the technical growth of the organization. At the moment we are mostly working on growing the SpilCloud. -- Who or what is your inspiration? Some quotes that I follow closely: “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take” “ Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do, so throw off the bowlines, sail away from safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails. MOMO (Nepali Dumpling..) and Gundruk Sadheko ( fermented mustard leaves marinated in spice ) are my two all time favorites. I also like Chicken Vindaloo and Tandoori. I have started to like Kip Kapsalon -- Can you tell an interesting fact about yourself? A hidden talent, strange habits? ..hmm ... * I don’t panic (need to definitely send my DNA for analysis..) * I am very optimistic and positive (maybe I have a hidden talent to see positive in negative) * I easily spend hours on mazes and puzzles. * My favorite game is Tomb Raider. I have sacrificed my sleep multiple times for Lara Croft. * Every Friday or Saturday evening/night, I try learn something new via lynda. -- If you were an animal, you would be a - Phoenix - I am in a constant process of exploring new things all the time, trying, failing, learning something new, succeeding, starting over again. -- What do you like most about Spil Games? I like the open working environment and Flexible working hours. I like the freedom to work on and implement your ideas. Everyone is friendly and helpful having a passion in what they are doing. The canteen is nice. I feel a positive vibe. Smile for the birdie!
