TODAY WORD OF PROMISE BY Pst E.A Adeboye WATER FOR THE THIRSTY If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him! (Luke 11:13) The Dearly beloved, the Psalmist says, “As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God” (Psalm 42:1). The Lord promises, “For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, And floods on the dry ground” (Isaiah 44:3). The deer pants when it becomes thirsty. You too should have such thirst and longing for the Lord. The Lord is going to pour down His Holy Spirit upon you in an abundant measure. During our family prayer, my grandchildren Sam and Sharon had the thirst to receive the anointing and power of the Holy Spirit. Once when the Institute of Power Ministry was being conducted in the Karunya University, both of them (they were 12 and 10 years old respectively) cried out to the Lord with thirst for the Holy Spirit. That time, specially, the Lord poured down His fire anointing on Sharon. He who filled Sam and Sharon even when they were small, will fill you too with His anointing and power. He is willing to do great things through you. He is going to give you the anointing and make you see visions. “And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams” (Acts 2:17). According to the above Scripture Verse, He will do this in your life today! Lord Jesus said, "If you would believe you would see the glory of God” (John 11:40). Accordingly, He is going to fill you with His glory and change you as His instrument. Lord Jesus offered Himself on the cross in order to redeem you. So accept His love. He will fill you with His power and you shall live a victorious life! The Bible says, "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!" (Luke 11:13). God is our Heavenly Father who is full of goodness. He desires to give wonderful blessings to His children. When we earnestly ask for the Holy Spirit, He will surely pour out the Holy Spirit upon us and bless us. He will refresh our souls. Prayer: Loving Lord Jesus, You are the Living God. My soul thirsts for You. Please pour out the Holy Spirit upon me in an abundant measure. Fill me with your power and enable me to live a victorious life. Fill me with your glory and change me as your instrument of your love. In Your matchless name I pray. Amen. ----
