TODAY is the MyRuralRadio FIVE YEAR ANNIVERSARY. Yes, we have been spinning independent music by unsigned and indie artists of ALL GENRE for 5 years. I would like to thank all of you who have supported us by simple listening to the site radio, coming to our events, and sharing the information with others. Megan W Donley, Dana Alexandra, A.D. Ad Chandler, Trampas Ferree, Tony Ryder, Scott Snyder...were all some of the VERY FIRST artists that we played. There songs are still in circulation and play on our feed. Thank you to those of you who have come to our rescue in times of need by donating to our station. The expenses, when it really comes down to it, are all on my shoulders. We dont sell anything really. We might sell ad space here and there or trade it off for services or donations, but we dont really do anything to generate income to pay for all the hours and hours it takes to maintain it and keep it going. The last two festivals have helped us raise enough money to offset some of our expenses, and still donate back into our community and other communities and to people in other countries, but that we feel is just not enough, so...we press on, do more benefits, do more toy drives and clothing drives, help more local families in crisis, reach out to more people in need. We are working with Friendship Outreach International this year in addition to the Mason-Dixon Community Services, Inc. and Eureka Volunteer Fire & Ambulance with Fall Fest 6. Over the last 5 years I have become friends with some of the most amazing people in the world. Listeners and artists alike. It has been an unbelievable journey so far. I plan on continuing to do what I do. myruralradio/listen.asp give us a listen. I have just added more songs to the play list from the past and present. Thank you to ALL of the artists we have spun...for the songs. Thanks again for all of your support, and Happy Anniversary MyRuralRadio.
