TODAYS DEVOTIONAL DO AS GODS WORD PRESCRIBES August 9, 2014 - By Dr. Isaiah & Lianna Wealth “And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand” Matthew 7 26 The study of God’s Word is only a mere intellectual exercise if it does not culminate in obedience to what is written therein. As seen in our text today, Jesus likens such a practice to building an edifice on sand, which without the necessary foundation would not stand the test of time, as the storms of life would bring it down in due course. God’s Word was given us to transform us into the same image with the Father. In studying the Word of God therefore, your focus must be on discovering the principles that unlock God’s plans, purposes and provisions, so you may begin to apply them to every area of your life. Obedience to the Word of God is essential to growing in the grace and power of God. Only those who observe to do all that is outlined in the Word can make their ways prosperous and enjoy the Grace of God (Joshua 1:8). You must therefore settle it in your heart even as you step out today to obey the voice of God’s Spirit, and do as He instructs no matter the obstacles or challenges. No matter what you face today, do as the word prescribes and you will blessed in all your deeds. (James 1:25) WE PROPHESY ON YOU TODAY (SAY AMEN TO THIS): Receive grace to do the word in Jesus name. PLAN TO: Do not always wait to rationalize the word first, just act immediately as the Holy Ghost instructs you to avoid procrastination and complete avoidance. SAY: I decree and I declare that I am a doer of the word of God. Daily Bible Study: ISAIAH 5&6, REVELATION 14, PSALMS 71 CONTINUOS PRAYING i. Startup Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to live by every word you instruct to be done in Jesus name. ii. Continuous Prayer: Recommended - you can begin with at least 10mins per watch. 6-9am Watch: Look through your Life and thank the Lord for every Good thing that you can find. Psalms 103:2 9-12noon Watch: Pray about challenges around you, your family members, and friends. Ask for Gods intervention. Eph 4:12-15 12-3pm Watch: Pray for your church, its ministers and members, use them as a point of contact to pray for the church world wide. Ask for Gods intervention. Eph 4: 12-15 3-6pm Watch: Pray for your nation, your president, its leaders and the people. Ask for Gods intervention. Psalms 33:12 6-9pm Watch: Pray for the poor, sick and the needy. Pray also concerning the needs of the people that came your way today. Ask for Gods intervention. 3 John 2 REDEDICATE YOURSELF TO JESUS TODAY: Daily Consecration Prayer. Oh Lord, I thank you for the first half of 2014. As this second half commences, I consecrate myself to you body, soul and spirit. Be before me to lead me, behind me to guide me, and by me to teach me. May my life be completely yours and bring you glory. Amen..
