TODAYS DEVOTIONAL RECEIVE GODS CORRECTION July 24, 2014 By Dr. Isaiah & Lianna Wealth “For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.” 1 corinthians 11 30 Whenever God uses His Words in correcting and rebuking His people and they consistently refuse it, He simply withdraws. His withdrawal is what gives room for the devil to operate around them. Our text today, although a reference to communion, describes what happens when Believers disobey God and do not live in line with his word. The Bible records that they may became weak and sickly, and eventually may die. It is important to note that it is judgment not sin that gives the devil power over a believer. There is no wrong a believer can do that would make the devil more powerful than him, because there was no right thing he ever did in the first place that made him more powerful than the devil. Salvation was obtained purely through the Grace of God. But when God the source of that Grace therefore withdraws, it leaves no doubt as to what might follow; destruction. However, though his last resort, God’s judgment is not for your condemnation. It is for your ultimate good so you will not lose your soul to Satan and hell. Therefore receive God’s correction today. Begin to make changes in the different areas of life he is speaking to you about. If you confess your sins and repent, the Bible says He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness. He is speaking to you now. Do not harden your heart. Obey Him and begin afresh with him. Amen WE PROPHESY ON YOU TODAY (SAY AMEN TO THIS):May your heart be opened to receive God’s correction today in Jesus name. PLAN TO: Ponder on those ways you may have been refusing God’s correction and make a conscious decision to receive God’s correction every area of your life and make necessary changes. SAY: I decree and I declare that nothing shall separate me from the love of Christ. Daily Bible Study: JOB 35&36, 2 JOHN 1, PSALMS 55
