TODAYS FEATURED GUEST ARTIST is Emily Daughtridge! Emily will be teaching two Master Classes for ages 13 & up on Monday, June 23rd -- Modern 11:00-12:30 AND Yoga 12:30-2:00! Emily Daughtridge is an Associate Professor of Dance Studies in the Department of Theatre and Dance at Appalachian State University where she teaches Modern, Yoga, Choreography, Collaborative Process, Dance History, among other courses, choreographs for the Appalachian Dance Ensemble and received the Outstanding Teaching Award for the College of Fine and Applied Arts. Her choreographic work has been presented on the NC DanceFestival Tour, among other venues. Emily earned her M.F.A. in Dance Performance from The Ohio State University and B.F.A. in Choreography and Performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. From 2002-04 she was on faculty for the Silesian Dance Theatre’s summer festival in Poland. Emily danced with both the John Gamble Dance Theater and the Jan Van Dyke Dance Group from 1996-2001.
