TODAYS FOOTBALL RESULTS Congratulations to our Senior boys who have taken out the Minor Premiership for 2014 in what would have undoubtedly been one of the best games of GDFL football for some time. Both teams put on a terrific display and hopefully will keep up the standard for the final series. As the lead changed numerous times during the game it was a fantastic effort by our boys to hold on to a 7 point lead in the final minutes of the game. The final scores were BPH 17.8.110 to North 15.13.103. Tarry 6 , Pagey 4 and Trav 3 goals. Best players were Shane Lymer, Dyl, Cubby, Luke, Renn and Atilla. Unfortunately the Reserves were beaten by a fitter and more determined team. North who are always hard to beat at home, held a 7 goal lead at half time. the boys fired up in the third quarter scoring 4 goals and keeping North goaless but it wasnt enough and North ran out 40 point winners. The Reserves have had a great season but there is plenty of room for improvement in this team as long as they learn to play for each other. Final scores were 7.6.48 to North 13.11.89. Cholo kicked two goals. I dont have best players in yet.
