TODAYS FRESH BREAD (NO WEAPON) Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. This scripture is most of the time under-quoted. Always the first part of it is quoted; No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shalt condemn. In this, the most important part of the scripture that makes this promise possible is left out, which is, This is the heritage (inheritance) of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. This is a New Covenant promise found in the Old Testament. Read throughout the Old Testament and you will see traces of the New Covenant spread out in it. This will show you that, God had always had the New Covenant in mind because He wanted to do away with the Old Covenant. The scripture says, no weapon formed (fashioned, designed) against you shall prosper, and every tongue (voice, declaration, pronouncement, spell, enchantment, incantation) that shall rise against you in judgement, you shall condemn. I like how the Amplified Bible puts the second part, This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord. This promise is possible in your life for a reason. The reason is that, your righteousness was not earned by good works you did. But you were justified. You received the imputation of Gods righteousness. Not because you are good, but because He made you righteous by faith. That is the New Covenant kind of righteousness. You do not earn it, rather you receive it. If you believe that you are righteous because God decided to make you righteous through Christ Jesus, then you can quote this with confidence. It is your inheritance from the one who died for you.... Good Morning
