TODAYS HEART SEARCHING MESSAGE: 22-01-2015 REMEMBER ME WHEN YOU ARE IN PARADISE! Prepared by Pastor Charles Chanda Luke 23:42-43 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. 43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise. Can you imagine that it was that guilty and condemned thief who first used the word paradise in the whole Bible? There was something he knew about paradise that prompted him to request for remembrance by the Lord. He knew that an earthly paradise was not within reach as he was about to die. The only hope was a heavenly paradise. THE THIEF ON THE CROSS UNDERSTOOD WHAT PARADISE WAS AND REQUESTED THAT HE BE REMEMBERED! He never went to church but was aware of a place called paradise. Luckily for him he was given an opportunity by God to get into that place he called Paradise. Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Not many people ever think that they can die before getting into their earthly paradise. So much time is spent on preparing for the earthly paradise. Huge amounts of money are spent and some of it is spent and never to be recovered and yet people are not prepared to spend for the heavenly paradise. It only cost the thief words and right words for that matter to get into the eternal paradise. I pray that you and me will be ready for that paradise when time comes for us to leave this world. Let nothing blind you here on earth, there is an heavenly paradise you and will must labour for. Some of the rich, the poor, the educated and illiterates had opportunities to get there but failed to utilize them and are now gnashing their teeth in hell. May the Lord help you and me to be wise in Jesus Name. Luke 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. My friend this has nothing to do whether you believe or do not nor whether you go church or not. The thief on the cross never had time to go to church but his time to die come. Your time and my time to die will one day come whether we win or lose elections. Anyone can die anytime. Are you aware that ALL THE PEOPLE WHO WERE BORN BEFORE 1870 HAVE ALL DIED AND DO YOU KNOW THAT EVERY ONE WHO IS ALIVE TODAY WILL NOT BE IN THIS WORLD BY 2170? Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 1. I dreamed that the great judgment morning Had dawned, and the trumpet had blown; I dreamed that the nations had gathered To judgment before the white throne; From the throne came a bright, shining angel, And he stood on the land and the sea, And he swore with his hand raised to Heaven, That time was no longer to be. Chrus And, oh, what a weeping and wailing, As the lost were told of their fate; They cried for the rocks and the mountains, They prayed, but their prayer was too late. 2. The rich man was there, but his money Had melted and vanished away; A pauper he stood in the judgment, His debts were too heavy to pay; The great man was there, but his greatness, When death came, was left far behind! The angel that opened the records, Not a trace of his greatness could find. 3. The widow was there with the orphans, God heard and remembered their cries; No sorrow in heaven forever, God wiped all the tears from their eyes; The gambler was there and the drunkard, And the man that had sold them the drink, With the people who gave him the license, Together in hell they did sink. 4. The moral man came to the judgment, But self-righteous rags would not do; The men who had crucified Jesus Had passed off as moral men, too; The soul that had put off salvation, “Not tonight; I’ll get saved by and by, No time now to think of religion!” At last they had found time to die. JUST THINK OF THOSE WHO HAD A GREAT EARTHLY PARADISE AND ARE NO MORE! *Moses survived the great slaughter of babies in Egypt and found himself in the paradise of Pharaoh. He forsook that paradise because he was aware of a better paradise. If you were to become the next president without elections, wouldn’t you go for the opportunity? Moses rejected the opportunity of becoming the next king and chose to suffer with the people of God for a season. What a difference with ministers of the gospel of today who are prepared to abandon their calling to pursue political careers. God have mercy *David got to the earthly paradise and become king but one day he had to die *Solomon become the wisest king, loved by God and had riches. What a great earthly paradise he had but he died one day. *Just think of the great scientist who invented what the world is benefitting from today and just try to imagine what a great earthly they had but they are no more today. May the Lord help you and me not to be swallowed up with the politics of the land and forget that there is a better place beyond the grave? GIVE YOUR LIFE TO JESUS TODAY
