TODAYS QUESTION: This shit is sensitive, so Im asking all participants to work extra hard to keep a level head. PALESTINE AND ISRAEL. Why is the Gaza strip so important to Israel? Ive followed this situation passively for years. I am an outsider. I dont have any personal connection to this conflict. BUT, no matter how many different news sources I look at, I cant wrap my head around why Israel has any interest in Gaza - which to my understanding isnt legally their land. I really want to hear opinions on both sides of this issue and Id love it if they were calm. Due to past experiences with this subject, Im asking supporters of Israel not to start calling me (or others who are trying to understand this situation) anti-semitic simply because we dont 100% agree with or understand the foreign policy of the nations-state of Israel.
