TODAYS SPIRIT MEAT SATURDAY 20TH SEPTEMBER 2014 THINGS THAT YOU MUST LOOK OUT FOR BEFORE YOU MAKE DECISIONS IN LIFE ISAIAH 48:17 Before you take a major decision in life, consider the following: 1. How does God feel about it? When there is a conflict between your opinion and that of God, you must stay aside and check (Heb.4:12). The more we feed on God’s word, the more there will be accuracy upon the spirit to be informed of the Lord and it will be able to discern the mind of the Lord. Joseph married a pregnant woman against his will (Matt.1:18 –25). However, Joseph was able to discern the mind of the Lord on the issue. No matter how long it will take, make sure you get the mind of God on issues of your life before you take decisions. 2. What is the implication of the decision on my future? (Gen.25:20 – 34) Esau took a decision to sell his birthright for a plate of food without considering the future. Don’t just consider the present; let the future be in your heart. Satan does not show men the future consequences of wrong steps. Lot also chose the plain of Sodom without asking for the future of Sodom. 3. What controls and influences the people involved? Always consider the values of the people involved. What type of spirit ruling them? As simple as these 3 steps are, take heed to them and they would guide you to make excellent decisions ranging from whom to marry, to where to live, what Church to attend or any other critical decision on your life. Meditate on these steps and keep them as a filter in your heart before making any key decision in your life and it will be well with you in Jesus’ name! PRAYER: Father, I pray for power to make right and accurate decisions at every stage of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
