TODAYS SPIRIT MEAT SUNDAY 30TH MARCH 2014 TIME WASTERS AND LIFE WASTERS JOEL 2:25, ECCLESIASTES 3:1-8 One of the ways that the devil attacks believers is to waste their life by wasting their time. You must not fall victim of the devil’s time wasting schemes. Take note of the following are some of the avenues he brings such attacks: False Visions: Zealous young men and women fall prey to the time wasting activities of false visions. They usually seem to be eager to conceive and run with any vision. Whatever you call your vision must have signs of divine contribution or else God did not choose that assignment for you. Beware of false visions. Busyness Without Purpose: The purpose of a thing should determine its operation and activity. The reason why you are going to work every day is not primarily the routine. However, your routine should lead you to something greater in life. Be purposeful. What is your church, company or business doing that is different from others? Wrong Marriage Or Courtship: If you marry wrongly, eighty percent of your life’s significance is gone. God will try salvaging the remaining twenty percent. Are you engaged? Ask the brother/sister “are we going somewhere great with this relationship or not?” Don’t join the multitude of married women who are still halting between two opinions after four years of marriage. Wrong Leadership: Leadership is very critical. Church, family and government all seek correct leadership. Pray to be the husband that will lead his wife to the height of her potential and gifts to accomplish something mighty on the earth. A pastor has 36 functions in the life of his church members; don’t assume you are led correctly because your pastor can preach great, sounding sermons because that is to score 2.78 out of 100 percent and you deserve more. Wrong linkages (Pro. 13:20): Wrong people will delay your manifestation in life, beware of them. They are the greatest enemies you can encounter on your journey to destiny, not the devil. The devil only needs to join a wrong person to you and your journey can become truncated. Who are those journeying with you? Not Using Your Waiting Period Correctly (Lk 13:22): Be like Jesus by mastering other things while you are on your way to a greater place. Prepare and build your spirit strong enough because you will need it when you get to your next level. Impractical Attitude to Life’s Present Realities (gen. 13:14): You cannot see well from another person’s location. Don’t let somebody respect you simply because of what you wear instead let the respect issue forth from something more enduring, like the destiny you carry before heaven. Do something from where you are today so that in 25 years, you will be where you need to be. Prayer: Lord, deliver me from these time wasters.
