TODAYS WORD OF BLESSING BY DR,PAUL DHINAKARAN. God sets the lonely in families, he leads forth the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land. Dearly beloved, The Bible says, “A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families, he leads forth the prisoners with singing” (Psalm 68:5,6). God is walking in our midst to remove our solitude and to deliver us. Why the solitude? How does Lord Jesus deliver us? Let us meditate on this. Today, many languish in loneliness and grieve. Lord Jesus knew what loneliness was. His disciples ran away from Him when the Roman soldiers came to arrest Him and His own disciple Judas Iscariot handed Him over to them. In the Garden of Gethsemane, before He prayed for everybody and yielded Himself to the Father in order to give His life for everyone, He requested His disciples to pray along with Him. But they slept on (Matthew 26:40, 41). There was none to pray with Him. Left alone, He cried and prayed with vehement cries” (Hebrews 5:7). Several years back, my father was severely attacked by tuberculosis. He was tormented by constant cough which resulted in vomiting blood. He was nearing death. We sought for someone to pray for him. But all those who came to pray for him mentioned about some shortcoming or the other and went off. There was nobody to pray with burden for my father and bring him out of that trouble. He shed tears in solitude. Dear ones, you may be troubled saying, “I took so many treatments to get cured from this disease, but in vain. I am unable to come out of this sickness. There is nobody to genuinely pray for me and deliver me.” Lord Jesus knows your loneliness, your sickness and your suffering. He knows your tears. He will grant you deliverance. The Bible says, “A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families, he leads forth the prisoners with singing” (Psalm 68:5,6). God sets the solitary in families! He sets free those who are bound! When you lift up your voice to God in times of loneliness, He will hear you cry from His heavenly throne. He will remember you and extend His divine mercy to you. He will be a refuge for you in times of loneliness and will comfort you with His divine love. Prayer: Loving Lord Jesus, You are a refuge for me in times of loneliness. I am lonely and forsaken. I have no refuge and no one cares for me. Please remember me and extend your divine mercy to me. Offer me your divine comfort and remove sorrow from my heart. In Your matchless name I pray. Amen. ----
