TODAYS WORDS OF BLESSING BY SR. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- Dearly beloved, The Bible says, “Who through faith are shielded by Gods power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time” (I Peter 1:5). Sin, iniquities and violence are increasing in this world. The Bible says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Yet the Lord says, “I will give you salvation in the last days.” Once, a young girl had written to me as follows: She loved a young man since when she was very young. He did not know about the love of the Lord and was fully caught up in the pleasures of the world. But this girl’s family loved the Lord dearly. When she expressed her desire to marry that boy, her parents strongly opposed and advised her saying that she will not be happy with him as he never knew the Lord and His love. They tried their level best to avoid this marriage but the girl was adamant saying that she could never forget him and went ahead in marrying him. Ultimately, her parents’ warning came true in her life. After a month, he started harassing her and she began to shed bitter tears thinking of her parents’ love. She wanted to go back to them. But considering the advice they had already given her, she hesitated to approach them. At that time, she remembered the love of Lord Jesus and held fast to His feet. She poured down her sorrows in His presence. Besides, she pleaded with Him to fill her with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Lord graciously answered her prayer and filled her with the Holy Spirit. After that, her life was completely transformed. She became joyful. The husband who saw her life was also touched and committed his life in God’s hands. Salvation flowed into the family like a river. Dearly beloved, the Lord who has said that He will manifest His salvation in the last days, wants to fill you with His Holy Spirit, cleanse you and transform you. The Bible says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8). Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that He has risen from the dead. Then through His grace, He shall grant you the heavenly gift of salvation. You shall be blessed with the free gift of eternal life. Prayer: Loving Lord Jesus, I confess with my mouth that You are the Lord. I believe in my heart that You have risen from the dead. I commit my life into your hands. Through your grace, grant me the heavenly gift of salvation. Let my life be completely transformed. Grant me the free gift of eternal life. In Your matchless name I pray. Amen.
