TODAYS TIP ======================================================= Cambridge vs Aldershot --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cambridge suffered their first defeat in Conference league this season last weekend, as the team lost 1:0 away to Southport in a game they conceded a goal in second minute and couldn’t react well whole remaining of the game. However, hardly the atmosphere is hurt with this defeat, as the team continues being leaders and have still a significant gap from the second place. They are currently on a six points difference to second placed Kidderminster and have every reason to be very happy with their performances till now this season. Also, they are having the best defense in the league as the team have conceded only seven goals in seventeen matches, staying with a clean sheet in 12 out of 18 official matches this year. Coach Richard Money doesn’t have a problem with busy schedule of his team, saying that he is more than relaxed using all players from his roster and keeps rotating players whenever possible. Home side will be without offensive Tom Elliott (3/0) and defender Josh Coulson (13/0), while doubtful are midfielder Ryan Donaldson (10/3) and striker Adam Cunnington (15/6). Aldershot, on the other side, stayed to a 1:1 draw away from home against Chester as the team managed to steal a point with a goal in the last moments of the game scored by Gibbs. Point earned wasn’t enough for them to approach the safe zone, as the team still tries to recover from their ten points punishment from the beginning of the season. Even though they have 6-5-6 record in the season, the team is still stuck in a relegation zone being currently second from the bottom. However, with many games to come, there is no doubt that they will manage to pull out of the relegation zone and save themselves, in case they continue like this. Currently, four points away from the safe zone, the team isn’t in a very best form as they count only one victory in last nine games and are without three pointer in last four. Coach Andy Scott said that he is satisfied with the fighting spirit from his players in previous game, saying that it would be unfair if the team has lost the previous game. He will be without back Anthony Tonkin (no participation yet) and goalkeeper Glenn Moris (11/0) who is a first choice goalkeeper, both due to injuries. Cambridge has 8-0-0 this season at home, without conceding a goal in last three matches. Aldershot didn’t win in last four matches. Cambridge remains favorite to win this game and will surely try to enter the game strongly after their first defeat in the season and will dominate from the first moments. Hosts have the best defense in the league and wouldn’t be surprise if their victory comes with another clean sheet. Bet: Cambridge Wins @ 1.86
