TODAY’S MANNA. 2 Corinthians 5:20-21. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us, We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. ### An ambassador is a noble citizen of his homeland, well versed with the culture and interest of his home land. An ambassador is an ambassador in a foreign land away from his home land. He is posted there to promote and propagate the culture and interest at the land of his posting. Ambassador is on a posting at a foreign land for a fixed period of time. He is expected to promote the culture and interest of his home land well confident and proud of the traditions and culture of his homeland. He is supposed to promote the traditions, culture and interest of his homeland in his behavior, dressing and all walks of his life. If he represents his homeland in the place of his posting, as he is expected to be, he can expect a rich welcome in his homeland at the end of his tenure. But if he fail behave as behoved of, homeland government he would be called back with displeasure. In this scripture, Apostle Paul is appealing us to be praise-worthy ambassadors of the Kingdom of God (our homeland) in this world (our place of posting). Our mission is to reconcile the world with the Kingdom of God. Sad to say, today, we find a number of so-called ambassadors of the Kingdom of God, living in conformity with the world and its culture. So they are unable to promote the Kingdom of God in this world, as they are expected to be. So let us live according to Christ’s standard and promote Christ’s kingdom in this alien land.
