TODAY’S WORD: 11th August, 2014 Psalms 119:18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law. The elders say it is unheard of that one will be inside a river and at the same time complain of soap entering his eyes. This is the state which most of us children of God have found ourselves today. Inside the word of God are wondrous things meant for our upliftment, security, great health and prosperity but we are not enjoying them because we are not aware of them. The challenge is not that we don’t read the word of God; the challenge is that we are not accessing the Rhema (revealed word of God) from the word, all we do is read the word like another newsletter. Isaiah 29:11; And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed. The word of God always comes sealed, it takes more than intelligence and education to be able to access it; it takes the Spirit of revelation from God. No wonder Paul when praying for the church prayed …That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power (Ephesians 1:17-19). Pray with me: Oh LORD, Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law in jesus name.
