TODAY’S WORD: 13th August, 2013 Habakkuk 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith. In a world as confused as ours, one needs to know where he stands. Our text talks about the Just living by HIS FAITH and not on the faith of others, one needs to know what is expected of him by God and not what people told him God expects of him. God desires that we relate with Him on a one on one bases, this is why the relationship with Jesus is always referred to as personal relationship with Christ. As a child of God that is heaven bound, grow and seek to know God so as not to be swept away by every doctrine that comes your way …Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive (Ephesians 4:13-14). How do you develop your faith to the extent that you can depend on it? Like Jude says in Jude 1:20 you will have to build your faith by constantly praying in the Holy Ghost, you will also devote enough time to sit with the word. Those that study God’s word get to be approved by God (II Timothy 2:15). More so, the more of the word you get, the more your faith muscles develop because faith comes by hearing God’s word (Romans 10:17). Daniel 11:32b; …but the people that do know THEIR GOD shall be strong, and do exploits. To be relevant and stand to do exploit with God, God must be personal to you. Don’t live by other people’s faith, know God for yourself.
