TODAY’S WORD: 18th January, 2014 Romans 14:4 Who art thou that judgest another mans servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. While in the university, a brother read to me a portion of the prayers that Zacharias prayed at the naming ceremony of his son, John. At that time I was having some challenges with living right and was contemplating whether or not to remain a Christian. If you are in that state today let me share this scripture with you because it really helped me and I know it will help you too. Luke 1:74-75;That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life. It is God’s plan to grant to us the ability to serve Him without fear, in holiness and righteousness all the days of our lives. Have you fallen into sin and it looks as if you can never come out o, or maybe you are completely overwhelmed and have lost hope of ever living the Christian life again? Don’t lose hope our text for today says whether you stand or fall, God will hold you up; GOD IS ABLE TO MAKE YOU STAND. My dear, don’t give up, arise again. II Corinthians 4:6-8; For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair. You maybe perplexed, refuse to be in despair (hopeless). All God demands from you now is genuine repentance and confession of your sins, a confession of Jesus as your Lord and Saviour and a confession that you are the righteousness of God. Pray: I confess that I am the righteousness of God, I am born again, and heaven is my destination in Jesus name.
