TODAY’S WORD: 22nd August, 2013 II Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. In Jesus resides tremendous power to transform anyone and everyone He comes in contact with. Genuine contact with Jesus must definitely produce true change in everyone that claims they’ve had a contact with Him. if you say you are a Christian, that you’ve encountered Jesus and nothing in your life has changed or your life still remains the same way it was after many years of you being with Jesus, then something is wrong somewhere. It’s either you are just assuming you are in Christ or you’ve lost that touch somehow. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. A contact with Jesus has the capacity to turn an illiterate to a literate individual. If you go into some remote villages in Africa and meet people from different religions, you will notice that those that are Christians are more literate and enlightened than the people that are not. When Peter and some other disciples healed a man and preached in Jesus name, the Pharisees who were highly educated saw that although the disciples were not educated, they spoke very well and with confidence too …Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus (Acts 4:13). There is great transforming power in Jesus, today if you will yield yourself to Him He will transform you beyond your imagination. God bless you.
