TODAY’S WORD: 25th October, 2013 Habakkuk 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith. Today by God’s grace we are considering the B part of our text for today which says THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY HIS FAITH. As believers in Christ, we are expected to be able to stand our ground whenever it looks as if there is a new wave of doctrine around or whenever someone else is trying to confuse us. Hebrew 13:9a says …Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. Also, we are told not be tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine like children so as not to be deceived by the sleight of men, and their cunning craftiness (Ephesians 4:14). These we will achieve if we dare to live by our faith or conviction and not of any man. In those days, it was only the priest that could access God’s presence but when Jesus died on the cross, the veil that separated us was torn giving everyone a free access to God’s throne. Child of God, you can’t afford to live or grow by anyone’s revelation of God, not even your pastor’s revelation. God desires you know Him personally for yourself, He says …the just shall live by ‘his’ faith. You will only survive this life by your personal knowledge of God. Hebrew 4:16; Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Don’t wait for someone to prophesy to you, be that your own prophet, pray that prayer yourself, cast out that demon, come boldly to God’s presence, you will make it in Jesus name. Pray with me: Father, as I come into your presence boldly today, let not my faith fail in Jesus name.
