TODAY’S WORD: 29th September, 2013 John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. In life I have come across people who are heavily gifted in the things of God but the results that follow them is nothing to write home about. Singer that can pitch very high notes, preachers that are orators yet little or no result to show for it. The more I see such things the more it dawns on me that when it comes to God and His work, it is not just skills but anointing that makes the difference. And anointing can only come from one source –God. Jesus is the anointed one that anoints, He says here today that I have chosen you and ORDAINED you to bring forth fruits. Do you sing and people get blessed, it is God’s ordination upon your life that’s at work and not your effort or skill. Don’t ever think it was because you prayed or knew how to pray that your preaching was able to change lives, it was God. So whenever anyone pours praise and glory on you, redirect them to God who is the one who deserves the praise. Channel all praise to Him, they are His own. Pray with me: Father I thank you for all the things you are doing through me, thank you for all the lives you are blessing through the instrument of your anointing, receive all glory, praise and honour in Jesus name.
