TOGETHER WE CAN HELP MARIA! Maria is a little girl of 4 years and 8 months. Six months ago, she was diagnosed with BRAINSTEM TUMOR (i.e. Cerebellum tumor). All started with some trivial headaches. Her mother, Elena, got hospitalized in Bucharest together with Maria so that the little one could be submitted to analysis and tests, including a MRI. At the MRI were found some problems so that the doctors decided to transfer her to Bagdasar-Arseni Emergency Hospital for more investigations. In that hospital, Maria was diagnosed with BRAINSTEM TUMOR. After a drainage action, (basically, a drainage tube was inserted so that it could relieve the pressure from her brain), Maria was transferred to the Fundeni Oncology Institute. Her treatment was CHEMIOTHERAPY which meant two doses of chemiotherapy 4 moisturizing cures / day for 3 days in 2 weeks. Maria overcame the treatment successfully, and the doctors were pleased with her evolution. In order for Maria to get better, she has to continue with RADIOTHERAPY, but she has to continue with her treatment in a clinic abroad. Travel costs, accommodation and treatment exceed family’s revenues.
