TOMB OF BAKT II (Beni Hasan) The tomb of Bakt II is the BH33 of the Necropolis of Beni Hasan. Bakt II inherited the title of Nomarch of the Nome of the Oryx from his father Bakt I. His mother was Thotka. The tomb is square with sides about 33 feet long and has a height of about 11 feet. On the west wall we see a false-door and Bakt sitting at a table of offerings. The east wall shows us Bakt, to the left standing and to the right sitting, which oversees the servants carrying the offerings. On the north wall, which is divided from the ceiling with a frieze kheker, we can see, on the left, Bakt in a kiosk. On the right we see Bakt in a scene of hunting and fishing in the swamp. He is followed by his servants that catch fish and birds with a net. In the upper register we see scenes of hunting in the desert.
