TOMORROW, TOMORROW! Our trip to Infanta, Quezon put me in a romantic mood. Every time the missus and I go to that rustic town by the Pacific Ocean, the Don Juan in me is resurrected. No, not the Juan Alaskador, for he may be funny but he is no don, but the Don Juan of romantic literature. Boy, was I feeling romantic despite the long drive in a car with no power steering. Pawis steering, was what the old jalopy had, was the very keen observation of Juan Don not Alaskador. Anyway, I couldnt place the reason for this sudden rise in libido every time we go to this still mainly provincial town. Could it be the delicious bistek tagalog or the cocomilk flavored sinantol? It could also be the salty air, enfused with a million other flavonoids --from ripening catmon to the fishy smell of fresh tuna, squids, shrimp, alimango, etc. No, Juan, I couldnt tell you what triggers the 50 y.o. body into thinking its half as young. If I could nail it in the head, wed be rich! A surefire aphrodisiac, eh! No more experimenting with shark fins, bull balls (hehehe) or various types of onions to get the old soldier to salute and continue to stand at attention long enough to finish his mission, hek-hek-hek. It just happened all of a sudden. I was DON JUAN, ROMEO, VALENTINO, DON ROMANTICO rolled into one... I was the Lion King, ready to pounce at my prey... Then, the dreaded words were spoken... the words that lay to naught the best romantic plan any time, anywhere, any any! Tomorrow na lang, pwede? Pagod ako, eh... ...pffffffffffffttttt... Kryptonite! ..and just like that, Superman was no more, hehehe! ...tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you, tomorrow... youre only a day, away!!! :D :D :D
